Animal Mount Display
&
Supper at Udder Choice
~~~
We were invited to this auction preview by our brother-in-law Marlin and my sister Nancy because they thought Cerwin would enjoy seeing the large collection of animal mounts.
They work with Kline, Kreider, Good Auctioneers.
I understand the man who owned this large collection is moving to a senior facility. This is only a sampling of many animal mounts. He clearly hunted in a variety of countries.
There was also a room where we could preview a lot of primitive items (house, farm, books, etc.) that I found interesting.
On a side note: These animal mounts were displayed on a stage in the old Hinkletown Firehall. The stage brought back good memories from a 1989 or 1990 evening when Cerwin and I were part of a silly, lip-sinking musical skit called “The Frumpys”.
We did the skit about once a month in a variety of venues – for several years – with Gene and Rose Gehman and their young boys. This was one of our most memorable evenings of doing the skit because the audience responded with lots of laughter.
On the way home we (Cerwin, Diane and I) stopped at Udder Choice for a light supper. Udder Choice makes delicious soups. I savored my cup of Creamy Asparagus soup.
