Corn Harvest in Neighboring Fields

This corn had been harvested four days earlier, now it was time for our neighbor across the road to bale and pick up the corn fodder.

This will probably be used for bedding for his horses and maybe the goats.

This Amish farmer uses a combination of equipment. Notice the steel-wheeled wagons. I am not sure if he borrows, rents or owns the tractor and skid loader.

It looked peaceful and pretty as they picked up the bales at sunset.

Loaded wagons – ready for the barn.

Twenty minutes later there was corn harvesting equipment in the field below our yard.

This field belongs to our family’s homestead – where I grew up.

A farmer’s work is never done. They were still working when I went to bed.
