Sunday Evening, September 19
We used to hold this in our church parking lot and had a few good weather years, then it rained one year and we went to Lititz Area Mennonite School and used the gym.
That was so well liked that we kept going there, because it was warm and dry when it was cool and raining outside. It is also cool on a hot late summer evening – like this day.
There were several guessing games and later some team competition.
Early attendees placing food on the serving tables and setting up their spot where they wanted to sit to eat. Everyone was asked to bring a hot and cold dish.
Time to eat.
There were two sections set up for about 112 people each on either side of the gym, with the dessert table between them.
The Sunday School class that was in charge of the evening, made sure the two serving tables had similar foods – and after eating food from one table, you could go check out the food on the other row of tables. 🙂

The right side of the room.
The children ate quickly and went outside to play on the school playground.
It was difficult to take outside pictures because of the bright evening sun.
Many of the guys played cornhole.
Back inside many were trying to be the closest to the guessing game of how many items were in each jars.
It was a fun and nice evening of fellowship.
