It seems like we have been celebrating our 58th wedding anniversary since mid-August when we visited Painted Rocks and Mackinac Island in Michigan – then a special lunch with our children on August 29.
Cerwin picked up milk and forage samples for DHIA in the morning, then stopped at our local grocery store for flowers. He couldn’t find any he liked, so he mixed three bouquets.
I thought he did a great job.
It didn’t see right that we would spend the actual date of our wedding anniversary without going out to eat.
We chose Lititz Family Cupboard – one of our favorite local restaurants.
I knew this would be Cerwin’s choice before we left home. 🙂 Ham loaf, mac and cheese and corn fritters.
He chose the regular size meal, which made him another meal at home.
I chose the lighter size, starting with lettuce and hot bacon dressing and a cranberry spritzer (cranberry juice, Mist Twist and housemade berry blend.
Breaded shrimp was my choice of meat. Oh, yum!
Shortly after we got home, my brother Dale and sister-in-law Dot stopped in with this gift of flowers – which should dry nicely.
Dot is a master flower gardener.
They topped off their gift with a bar of Lindt Intense orange dark chocolate. We are savoring that bit by bit!
They share our wedding anniversary – 5 years behind us.
Happy Anniversary! What a yummy meal. I love when I food to take home for another meal.
Thanks. Yes, me too.
Congratulations — 58 years is well worth a month of celebration! The trip was wonderful, Cerwin’s flowers beautiful, and the meal yummy! Happy anniversary!
