I love butterfly houses, so was very interested in this part of the tour of Mackinac Island.
Because it costs $10.00 a person Cerwin opted to wait outside. He enjoys the butterflies, but not as much as I do – and he knew he would get to see all my pictures. 🙂
It was a fairly small butterfly house, but it was beautiful and filled with many butterflies. We were told to keep our eyes on the floor as we walked so we didn’t step on any.
This was the second time a butterfly landed on my jacket or on my head. I tried to get someone to get a photo of one on my head, but it flew away before we could get it accomplished.
Just before leaving I felt another one flitter to my shoulder and asked the door “guard” to take my picture. Each person has to turn around to make sure the staff do not see butterflies on our body or clothing.
Butterfly houses refresh my soul.
Meanwhile, Cerwin enjoyed visiting with other tourists and watching the horse-drawn carriages coming and going.
As we got in line for the next part of our tour, we watched the horses and the procedure of loading a carriage.
And they are off.
The arrival of our team with our driver named Jesse. I smile as I watch this, because the horse on the left was always trying to make the other two do the work of pulling the wagon. 🙂 Jesse had to keep encouraging her to keep moving.
I will post pictures from our tour in my next blog.
That’s a great collection of butterflies! And I love the shot of you that the door guard took with the butterfly on your shoulder!
It was a delightful thing to do on this tour.
Gorgeous, just gorgeous!! J. Jutzi
I agree!
I love the pic the guide took of you! It captures your smile perfectly. ?
I thought she did a good job with what she had to work with. 🙂
O stop…. ??
