Sunday Evening, August 1

Like I said in my last post, I am not sure how it started, but I offered Jon and Jenn’s children the opportunity to take photos with my camera. My only rules: You must keep the strap around your neck and no running.
I told them to look for interesting shots and good lighting, then showed them how my camera works and how to zoom and focus.
They took turns, and I don’t know who took which pictures, because I was not with them. 🙂
It was so much fun going through these. I reduced 376 pictures to 67. 🙂 I was so pleased and excited to see what they chose to focus on and what a great job they did.
The first shot was of Grandpa Stauffer.
Dietrich and me. Grandpa Kolb, I see you in this guy’s actions and face.
Me and Andre
Me and David. The photo of me and Alisha was too blurred. She will show up shortly.

The following pictures were all taken on Bob and Doris’ property. I loved to see what they chose to photograph. The rabbits definitely got the most attention.
This photo reminded me of Peter in Mr. McGregor’s garden.
A car going by their property
A zucchini that survived the hail
The lake behind their property
Looking toward a neighbor’s meadow
Good framing of the sunset
I can tell that Dietrich took this picture because he is the only one missing in the shot. 🙂
Someone focused on us. 🙂
After this picture I walked around with the three boys, giving them a few more photography hints. They took the pictures – except for the next one.

In the field across the road.
I showed David how to take really closeups.
Jon, I think you may have to invest in a camera for your creative children.
Great shots! You may have just passed the camera bug on to a new generation of photographers. 🙂

I was thinking the same thing. Seeing your comment, made me think we would have enjoyed spending today with you. We are now on Mackinac Island – staying overnight. It was a fabulous day. Keep and eye out for the pictures in another week. 🙂
Maybe you should give photography lessons. ? I tinkered with photography a bit as a single, but since getting married and becoming a mom, well….. ?
I just gave them basic lessons with my camera and they took over. 🙂
