This was our second trip to Hershey last week. We drove through a downpour, then saw a beautiful double rainbow as we approached the restaurant.
The Hershey Kiss light posts are a good indication that we are in Hershey.
This time we were eating out with Glendon and Denise Zook and their family. We asked Brayden to choose an appetizer for the table. He chose boneless wings topped with barbecue sauce.
This evening happened because Cerwin and Brayden (next to Cerwin) are prayer partners at church. The youth group advisors pair up youth with adults who want to participate. Their daughters are Mya (left) and Kiera (right).
Red Robin was Brayden’s choice of restaurant. They are known for delicious hamburgers. I think I saw a sign in the entrance saying this restaurant offers 25 different kinds of hamburgers. I checked that out with Red Robin’s website. That said there are more than 50 different kinds of Red Robin hamburgers across the country. That includes a variety of meats, toppings and buns.
The Zook family recently came home from a trip to South Dakota, Wyoming, Colorado, Utah and surrounding states. When I asked the girls and Brayden about their favorite part of the trip, each said very quickly, “The Badlands.”
It was fun to get to know their family a bit better. Glendon is a minister at our church.
When we entered “home” in our GPS, it took us right by Hershey Park.
We didn’t go to the restaurant that way because Cerwin thought he knew a shortcut – which actually added 6 minutes to the GPS. 🙂 It didn’t matter, because we were early – and going that way gave us a nice view of the rainbow.
I haven’t been to Hershey Park since our children were young and wasn’t on this road for many years.
Oh, what a delightful summer evening.
Red Robin is a fun place to eat — the boneless wings look yummy! I’ve never been to Hershey, though I’ve heard about it.
We learned that it is a fun and delicious place to eat.
