Shortly after passing the sign that said we were entering Hershey, a doe ran across the road in front of us. Her fawn didn’t follow immediately, but we slowed down figuring it would soon make a dash for it – and it did.
We were pleased that the traffic coming toward us stopped as well – giving the fawn a safe crossing.
Devon was the restaurant chosen by our grandchildren, Nate and Lauree and Dustan and Jenna, for the guys 2021 birthdays. They like interesting appetizers. I think Dustan chose this for the table, because he likes sushi. The meat was tuna.
Cerwin, Nate, Dustan, Jenna, and Lauree – getting their entrees. I was surprised at how busy the restaurant was on a Monday night, but then it is the tourist season and we were in Hershey. We had reservations, but those who did not had to wait an hour for a table.
We had so much fun with them – getting caught up with their busy, energetic lives.
Lauree’s carrot cake
Jenna and I each got a Key Lime Pie. We were surprised when we saw what looked like chopped tomatoes. However, it was pineapples in maraschino cherry juice – with a few cherries. There was mango sorbet on the side. Everything was delicious.
Our waitress surprised the birthday guys by putting candles on their desserts. She knew their birthdays were a month ago, but still honored them with candles.

I continue to love hanging out with grandchildren.
