“Tracking Down the One True God” has given our Bible School Superintendents and teachers the opportunity turn this year’s Bible School in to a week of mystery.
We arrived early last night so I could get pictures of the Bible School rooms before the children were there.
There was a teacher in the room when I was there. I said, “It looks like you have to deal with the serpent in this room.” She said, “Yes, he is part of the story. I would like to kick him out.” 🙂
The entrance to another room.
In the room next door, it looks like they are creating plaques.
Continuing down the hall to other classrooms on the first floor.
In this room the children’s craft is decorating their own lawn chairs.
I made a complete circle on the first floor and was back to the Narthex where I could see children waiting outside with their teachers. One little girl was on the inside looking out. Her mom is in charge of registration.
The sanctuary from the balcony.
There were lots of flying birds – hanging from ceiling lights.
Singing began at 7 PM as the children entered and went to their seats.
I can see our great grandson Anthony on this side (green shirt – next to his teacher with an orange blouse.)
Kyle Wenger – one of three superintendents – welcomed everyone.
The jellyfish was “God’s creation feature” on Thursday.
Everett Stoner read Romans 5:8 and prayed for the evenings activities.
Story Time: There is a five-evening drama that will conclude Friday night.
The detective and his assistant.
Using a “lie detector” to question this couple.
Heading to class rooms
The adults stayed in the sanctuary and were taught by John Minnich. “God is Emmanuel” was his subject: Christ bent down from His incredible throne in heaven to be God with us. He did so to reassure us of His abiding love. GOD WITH US.
Previous nights subjects: God is Great, God is Almighty, God is Ruler and Friday night; God is Trustworthy.
After Bible School we went to see Anthony’s room – along with his parents. Jasmine and Nathaniel on the right. It was “parent’s night”.
Everyone was invited to go outside to enjoy Italian Ice. LaWanda and Janelle were servers at this table.
Ron and Brenda served the ice at the other table.
I looked up to see “Clark the Shark” delighting the children.
Italian Ice and the shark created a great opportunity for visiting. There were lots of visitors to welcome.
So much effort and creativity go into this week’s classes!
I am always amazed at the teacher’s creativity.
