Friday Evening, July 2

A few views of an old tractor and car with the audience in the background.
I noticed this sign when we walked into the yard to place our chairs in front of the wagon, but didn’t think too much about it. As I walked around looking for photo ops, I took more time to read it realized what it meant.
It looks like they have a hive in this old tree.
Back to the Werner Family Bluegrass Band who were doing an outstanding job of playing bluegrass and gospel music.
During intermission Glenn and Phoebe’s son Jeff gave us a few instructions for getting ice cream during the break and announced the birthday of an uncle (his 90th birthday) and another relative who was having a birthday and was in her high 90s.
If you attend Community Bible Church of Marietta, you will recognize him as your senior pastor.
I enjoyed watching these two boys in the creek and think they be some of Glenn and Phoebe’s great-grandchildren.
This talented band closed their program about 9 pm.
By then the evening was getting damp and cool – a rather bad combination for keeping instruments in tune.

It was incredibly delightful to be there. Thank you, Glenn and Phoebe for inviting us.

I used to be totally enamored with Chevy Impalas!! My favorite was a burgundy 1967 Impala. 🙂 The green one here is pretty, too. Love the fins!

Those fins were always so cool – back in the day – and they still are to us old folks. 🙂
