Wednesday Evening, June 30

The evening news had just gone off and a favorite game show was coming on TV when we noticed ominous-looking clouds overhead.
When I looked above me, I noticed a patch of blue. Even the birds are getting out of the way of the rain.
Before long we were pelted with rain.
The corn has been growing nicely and with this rain it will quickly grow another foot.
About 45 minutes later the sky opened in the west, giving us a pretty sunset.
We needed a good summer rain.
This post is like a metaphor for life, with storm clouds followed by a gorgeous sunset. We have had a few misty mornings recently, plus a 3-minute thunderstorm, but no real rain for several months! Everything is really dry — a prescription for a bad fire season!
Interesting that you saw the pictures as a metaphor.
Maybe because my own life is going through a stormy period right now, with a little glimmer of sunlight beginning to come through ~ ~ ~
