When I got up shortly after 4:30 am, I was fascinated by the full moon shining in our kitchen windows.

A moon like this compels me to go outside with my camera.

The moon was even prettier one hour later as the sun was coming up in the east.

The internet tells me this is the last super moon of the year – and that it is called a Strawberry Moon.

It isn’t easy for us to see the sunrise in summertime. I have to find a place where I can see through the woodlot behind us. I took these last two pictures a minute after taking the last two pictures of the moon.

We don’t see the sunrise, but we do see its effects in the southeastern sky.
