Wednesday Evening, May 12 – for Lauree and Jenna’s 2021 birthdays
~~~
The view from my seat at our table.
Jenna was the one corresponding with me concerning date, location, and time. She chose the patio. Because I made the reservations and we are not totally comfortable with the parking in downtown Lancaster, we arrived about 20 minutes early. It took a few minutes to figure out how to pay for street parking.
I think I see clover in this arrangement. Maybe because this restaurant is Irish.
Jenna, Lauree, Dustan and Nate
Jenna and Lauree have March and May birthdays. The next birthday meal for these four will be for Dustan and Nate who have June birthdays. They are talking about a steak house.
Nate’s appetizer of deviled eggs.
Someone’s wings. I think 3 of them got wings. Nobody wanted the celery, so I got a take-home-box and later chopped it up and put it in the freezer for a future soup.
Jenna’s loaded fries
My veggie penne
Meat loaf – either Lauree’s or Cerwin’s
Dustan’s salad
I took this picture from our car – after putting our take-home-boxes inside.
They took their take-home-boxes to the car, then came back to meet us. Jenna and Lauree had previously chosen to walk to an ice cream shop for dessert – about two blocks away.
I have seen rolled ice cream being made at craft shows, but had never tasted it.
Making mine. Notice my name on the container on the right.
Orders were written on the box. Mine: vanilla ice cream, coconut, cherry, strawberry, whipped cream. Cerwin: vanilla ice cream, peanuts and strawberry. Yum.
On the way home, I told Cerwin, “Our lives would be boring without grandchildren.” We tell them to choose a restaurant for their birthday and they take us to places we may not have gone to or even known about. π I love the adventure of having grandchildren.
I love your grandchildren’s choices of restaurants for their birthday lunches!
Me too! π It is fun going to new places – or places we rarely go.
