I thought this was a Black-capped Chickadee until I checked my bird book. The black-capped has buff colored feathers under its wings, the Carolina’s underwing feathers are white.
The black-capped is a bit larger, but when you see only one, it can be difficult to tell the difference.
They are pretty little birds.
