I love reading all the chalk quotes in this restaurant in Leola. I understand that Gracie writes them.

Inge, Cerwin, Barbara, Sam, Peg and Bunny. We have each (except Barbara) served with Transport For Christ for many years and are still involved with TFC Global in various ways. We are each partly retired and able to get together on Wednesdays every few months. (Sam’s wife, Alice, passed away several years ago, the reason Barbara did not serve with TFC.)

It was our turn to choose a restaurant. Gracie’s specializes in all-day breakfast, so, even though we met at 1 PM, most of us chose a breakfast – except Peg who preferred a salad with chicken.

Cerwin’s omelet

Inge’s Greek omelet. This is her email thank you note to us. “Thank you for introducing me to Gracie’s! That was the best omelet I have ever had, no contest! It combines items that I love individually – kalamata olives, feta cheese, and eggs – but never thought of putting together. And their home fries were outstanding.”

 My grilled cheese egg and bacon sandwich. It was so-o-o good.

I love hanging out with these people. We have so many shared memories. Our next meal is going to be in July – probably in New Holland. It will be Bunny and Peg’s choice.
