Peace and contentment come from your relationship with God, not your relationship – or lack thereof – with other people.
I am listening to the Bible online and having just finished the story of the Children of Israel leaving Egypt, I was reminded that people are the same – everywhere and through every time era. Complaining seems to come easier than gratefulness.
When people, government or circumstances are not to our liking – we complain.
One of the blessings of growing old is learning that joy and peace do not come from this life but from a relationship with Jesus.
Realize that you won’t find joy in a hurry – it often develops in the slow lane of life.
Decide on a daily basis – I will not complain. I will be grateful for what the day brings.
Complaining feeds the fuel of unhappiness.
Be a person who says positive things about others.
These are lovely posts, Doris!
Thank you.
