Shadows in the Snow

Photos from early February.
It was a nice, winter evening and since I noticed these icicles from inside, I went outside to get another view. A view from inside before sunset. They started getting a different glow as the sun went lower.
These photos are also from early February – just like yesterdays post. Icicles are rarely here for long, but they are so pretty.
We haven’t had snow like this in the past week, so I went back to early February to post some photos that I hadn’t used yet. Oh, so beautiful!
Nothing quite like enjoying a delicious piece of cake while watching a pretty sunset. Take time to savor the delicious tastes and beautiful sights in life.
I keep this colander and dipper feeder close to the kitchen window because I like watching the birds in these containers. This looks pretty and makes a good photo opportunity, but makes it a bit difficult for birds to get to the birdseed on this kind of day.
The fellowship meal was prepared by our deacon team with most of the work done on Saturday. I went to the fellowship hall early to catch our deacons and their wives at work. Some of the men were unloading the refrigerated truck which was storing some of the things that needed to stay cold. Lelan […]
Sunday Morning, February 21 To those from our congregation, please let me know if you find any mistakes – especially names. 🙂 This is the congregation where I grew up. It has been a major part of shaping my spiritual journey and who I am in Christ. It was an exciting day in the 249 […]
Tuesday, February 16 – Continued from yesterday’s post The flying snow geese directed us to the Wildlife Sanctuary – along with us eventually finding familiar roads. Before long we approached the path where the public can access the lake. It is about a ten-minute walk – depending on how fast you walk. We stopped for […]
Tuesday, February 16 We started our drive by taking a TFC Global mailing to the Lititz Post Office. I was able to take a few “drive by” photos of ice sculptures on the Lititz streets. The annual Lititz Fire & Ice Festival was canceled this year due to COVID (see Inge’s comment). It was changed […]

These may not “legally” be Fastnacht donuts, but they are delicious. I think a Fastnacht is without yeast. My sister, Nancy, and her girls make raised donuts. The powdered ones are filled – and were the first ones we ate. 🙂 The others are in the freezer for future enjoyment. Thanks Nancy, Karen, Melissa, Amy […]
I looked up corn and bacon dishes, then created my own. Cerwin thought it was even better than the one he had at Devon. 🙂 I started with a bag of fresh-frozen corn (about 2 cups), added real bacon chips (from Costco) and maybe two teaspoons of chopped, fresh onion. Then two pinches of sugar […]

We were delighted to have our granddaughter Lydia and her friend Andrew stop in for a visit. It was the first time we met him. Now we know why Lydia likes him. 🙂 Lydia makes hot chocolate and cappuccino bombs. These four are cappuccino. I am anxious to try them. Their favorite picture. Thanks for […]
