We needed a box of vanilla ice cream and had a desire to get out of the house for lunch.

We were delighted to learn that our granddaughter Jana was working in the kitchen. I told the young lady who took our order to tell Jana that Grandpa and Grandma High were here.

We were delighted that she was the one who brought us lunch.

It was a nice surprise to meet Rachel Bates and two of their children. Rachel and I have been Facebook and Instagram friends for many years – maybe even back to Xanga. I wasn’t sure if we ever met in person, but she thought we met at a benefit auction – and I agree.
