I wear a face mask when entering a place of business – more out of respect for the business than because it is a government requirement.
Probably 100% of the businesses would prefer no masks, but it is required of them by the government – if they want to keep their doors open. The Wal-Marts and Home Depots are going to do okay whether you wear a mask or not, but what about your local restaurant.
I feel bad for a place of business – especially small, local businesses – when there is a sign on the door “Face Coverings Required” and people walk in without a mask. If everyone did that, they could be forced to close their doors. I want to do everything I can to keep our local businesses open during this pandemic.
Sometimes I wonder, “What would Jesus do?”
If I owned a small restaurant and Jesus came to my door where there was a sign that said, “Face Coverings Required”, I can’t imagine that He would walk in without a face mask.
Great post. Right on.
Thanks. It is just my opinion. 🙂
I agree. I don’t enjoy wearing a mask, but if I should be coming down with a serious illness and I really love others, I will do what I can to protect them.
I agree. I think it is respectful of others – especially to the businesses that require it.
I read that there is one store where they have a sign reminding people that employees could lose their jobs, or stores their licenses if customers don’t wear masks. That sounds like a pleasant reminder!
Yes, there are a variety of ways that businesses – especially small business – remind us that masks are required. 🙂
