The harvest equipment began about noon.

I didn’t take many pictures on the second day of squash harvest, but enough to show you that it was happening again. The outer border shows you how much of the seven-acre field was harvested to get 3 large trailers full the day before.

I didn’t keep a close record of trailers filled on this day, but I think they filled another two or three.

My favorite pictures happened in the evening when Jacob and his little family walked around the harvested part of the field looking for squash that had been missed.

This dedication to a harvest is very typical of the great Amish families who live in our community.
