Bongiorno Conference Center, Carlisle, PA
While the TFC Global Staff had a several day training conference, Cerwin, I, Sam Rittenhouse, Inge Koenig and Bunny & Peg O’Hare (the “old” guys) were encouraged to only attend on Monday afternoon and evening because the training was old information for us.
The training was for new chaplains and District Managers and an update on procedures for current chaplains.
When we arrived, we went to the office to get directions for where they were meeting.
One of the Bongiorno staff directed us to the the back side of the motel, to the ground level room where they were finishing up an afternoon meeting.
The new TFC Global unit was there for training and information. It will be used for promotional work at churches and shows.
While waiting for the session to end, I went for a walk to photograph some of the scenery and other parts of the grounds.
Where they enjoyed evening campfires.
When I got back to the building where the meetings were happening, Mike Hayden was highlighting some of the chaplain training information from inside the new trailer.
Ruth Martin, Executive Secretary to the President (Ron Fraser – right) was at her motel window on an upper level and asked everyone to pose for a picture – the reason everyone is looking up.
Then she asked them to wave.
I was on the ground and when Ruth was finished, asked them to look at my camera.
Our next stop was the dining hall for supper.
Following our meal we joined the evening session – opened by President Ron Fraser.
Bob Keiderling, Northeast District Manager, closed the evening session with an introduction on plans to incorporate Celebrate Recovery with TFC Global.
It was good to see staff we knew and meet the new staff who joined the TFC Global team in the past year.
