I am enjoying mornings when the sun comes up and heightens the colors of the two shellbark trees in our front yard.
During the mid-afternoon, our grandson Josiah called to see if we were home. He was leaving a job nearby and could easily come by on his way home.
Before long his sister Lydia stopped in. She knew he was here, so got to visit with us and him.
About 4 PM I asked if they could stay for supper if I put individual meat pies in the oven. Both seemed glad to stay. That is why grandmas keep things in the freezer for such a time as this. I also made sweet potato patties.
By the time supper was over we were enjoying a beautiful sunset.
For some reason this scene reminded me of sunsets near Hoedspruit, South Africa.
It was indeed a delightful day.
Ho nice to have a visit from Lydia and Josiah! The trees in your front yard are beautiful — tall and colorful! We seldom see colors like those except on trees that are not native to this area! And the sunset photos are magnificent — they do look like the sunsets one sees photos of from Africa!
I love living in an area where the leaves change colors – and they are especially pretty this year.
