Apparently our motel window was facing east, because this is what I saw when I opened the curtain at 7:15 am.
We drove through a bit of fog as we headed east – which made the morning quite pretty.
When I saw this picture, I was disappointed because it captured the dead tree – then at a second glance I decided that I liked it because of the depth it added to the shot.
We saw a lot of yellows in the fall colors as we headed toward Potter County.
I liked this barn, but the sun wasn’t hitting it as we approached it, so I took a shot through the rearview window. The barn didn’t look as unique this way, but I liked the sky in this shot. 🙂
I liked the corn shocks and pumpkins in this town.
We stopped at a McDonalds for a bathroom break and parked next to these pretty hydrangeas.
This is a usual meal stop for us when traveling near Liberty, PA. They have a great snack and meal café. This time we shared a roast beef panini for lunch.
We saw more fall beauty as we continued our drive home.
That was certainly a nice two-day road trip.
We had two goals before leaving – seeing elk and pretty fall foliage. We were not disappointed.
How pretty the countryside is with the morning fog — and with the afternoon sunshine! I love the 3rd shot, with the bright light on the buildings and the tree to give it perspective! And your fall coloring is really pretty this year!
