I love when the younger ones in our family have celebrations – giving us time to hangout with our children, grandchildren, great grandchildren and friends.
I think Jordan’s sisters (Jenna, Diana, Gloria) and sister-in-law (Lauree) were responsible for this party (with the assistance of their parents – Jeff and Chris).
While people arrived and visited, I walked around Dustan and Jenna’s yard looking for some late summer beauty.
Not only did Jordan (second from right) recently buy a house, he met Olya (girlfriend) about the same time. Olya (holding someone’s baby – might be Bennett) got a quick introduction to Jordan’s family and friends at the party and was even asked by Jordan’s sisters to delay him.
Jordan likes to be on time, so that was a bit of a chore. He was surprised to learn that she knew about the party and was involved in delaying their arrival.
There was a delicious meal of pulled pork sandwiches, baked beans, mac and cheese and fruit – then later a dessert of bar cookies (cake) and ice cream.

Some of the housewarming gifts.
One of the Groff twins struggled to bring a heavy container of laundry detergent to the gift pile.
I understand that the parents of the twins were part of introducing Jordan and Olya in early September, so not everyone at the party was a stranger to her.
It was a beautiful evening for visiting and enjoying supper
The campfire fire felt good as the evening coolness settled in around us.
Thanks to everyone who organized the evening and congratulations to Jordan on purchasing his first house. We plan to see it in a few days.
It looks like a lovely house, with a yard that will accommodate the High tradition of large family parties!
This is Dustan and Jenna’s house. We haven’t seen Jordan’s house yet. Hopefully on Wednesday evening.
