I find it fascinating that smoke from about 2,600 miles away – on the west coast – can travel to Pennsylvania and have an effect on our skies for a few days.
We were having a sunny day that was diminished by the smoke and even affected our sunsets.
Then, within a few days it was clear again. God created the earth and sky in an amazing way – that will clean up itself – in hours or days. We would live in a very dirty world if that didn’t happen.
Though less now, the fires are still burning and spewing smoke into the air. I have read that traces of smoke have already made it across the Atlantic Ocean and are being seen in various places in England and France! I hope it doesn’t go all the way around, and I believe it cannot cross into the Southern Hemisphere! I hope our dirty air doesn’t affect you too badly!
We are clear again. Yes, I heard it crossed the ocean. Last year we had haze from the Australian fires.
I’m glad to hear that your air is clear again. We’re still a little hazy, but the sky is blue and the smoke is going somewhere else! I didn’t realize that the smoke and haze could cross the equator — thanks for letting me know that you had Australian haze!
