It has been a different kind of summer – partly due to COVID, but it is also the first summer since Cerwin and I retired from taking a TFC Mobile Chapel to truck shows.
Last year we decided to stop having large family reunions here – staying with only our children, grandchildren, and great grandchildren. We may have large family reunions here again, but not every year. We are getting too old for all that intense yard and house work. 🙂
We have enjoyed the slower lifestyle this summer which afforded us the luxury of working on our one acre of lawn and flowerbeds in small increments.
Thus I began looking for a handheld trimmer for my part of our flowerbed and yard work and found this cordless, rechargeable grass, hedge and shrubbery trimmer. I wanted something that I can handle and start. I do weed eating, but need Cerwin to start it for me. Cerwin doesn’t enjoy the detailed jobs involved with flowers and flower beds. He would rather do weed eating or lawn mowing.
I like the trimmer that is attached in this picture more than the longer one – probably because the teeth are larger and it does everything I need it to do. Plus, Cerwin has a regular hedge trimmer that he uses on larger jobs.
I really like this tool for small jobs in place of a regular shears or clipper. It is a faster way of cutting back perennials that are getting brown at this time of year. Next week I am going to cut back the ferns in the memory garden because they are turning brown.
I found it on Amazon and showed it to Cerwin. He is wiser than me – especially about tools, so I asked him which style and model looked best. He chose this one. I ordered one afternoon and it arrived the next afternoon. I do like Amazon!
I love finding new work toys. 🙂
