Storm clouds
Wind and rain coming across the valley
The squash plants are getting wet.
What delight to stand under the eaves of our house on a warm evening and watch the downpour.
It was raining so fast some of the water came over the edge of the spouting.
Water rushing out the downspout.
I took these pictures within a fifteen minute timeline – then it was over – except for a drizzle – and we had more than and inch and a quarter of water.
Thank you, Lord, for watering our yards and crops.
That was quite a downpour! How nice that you have a covered spot outdoors from which to watch it all. I’m sure the squash and the corn really appreciated the drink!
It is great to have summer rains for the crops. Now it is time for another good rain, because we have had a lot of hot days this week. I think it is supposed to rain today and Sunday.
