One of the perks of having our daughter Diane (Jasmine and Anthony’s Grammy) here is seeing these two great grandchildren more than usual.
Lydia came after work and sat with Jasmine to watch Anthony play with sparklers.
When Diane was ready with the sparklers, she had to call Anthony out of our Red Maple “climbing tree”.
Lighting a sparkler
I wonder if there is a child in the United States who didn’t play with one of these?
That looks like a fun July 4th for Anthony and Jasmine! In SoCal, the fire danger is so intense that fireworks are basically banned — some people bring them in from other states. I never even saw a sparkler until I was a teenager! Last night, all fireworks displayed were cancelled but one small one — but the entire area sounded like a major display from about 4 pm until about 10 — I didn’t see any big fireworks, but I heard them almost non-stop! Fortunately, we didn’t have any major fires, although there were numerous small ones.
Because our major fireworks were canceled due to the virus – there were beautiful backyard fireworks everywhere.
