That’s something you don’t see very often – a hummingbird perched on a shepherd’s hook.
It was kind of far away, but you can see that it is a pretty male.
Feeding at the patio feeder – also farther away than the window feeder.
Our yucca will soon be blooming. There will be three this year for the first time. We usually only have two.
Soon these long buds will pop into lot of smaller buds.
One of these days I will go out and there will be beautiful white flowers.
The yarrow are as pretty as they will get.
Springtime – oh, what a beautiful season.
I love the hummingbird shots, especially the second one! And how exciting that you’ll have 3 yucca blossoms — I usually think of yucca as a desert flower, so these are really special!
I am always surprised that the yucca survive here. I see lots of them around our area. Most will be blooming about a week before ours – I think because ours aren’t in full sun.
