There was rain since he cut the rye on Tuesday, so this young Amish man raked this for three hours – trying to get it dried.
We thought they would bale it during the late afternoon, but it was still there when I went to bed. Cerwin went to bed an hour later and said they were baling it then. It was all baled before we woke up the next day. 🙂
So many processes — so much to think about. I’m glad they were able to get the rye baled!
I am anxious to see what they plant this year. Last year is was squash and peppers.
That’s quite a change for crop rotation! Will it be rye again next spring?
I never know what they will plant for a winter crop, but rye works in our area.
