I heard machinery near our yard (about noon) and noticed our Amish neighbors were doing a second cutting of their rye.
I love watching a team of mules making a turn in the field. It takes team work to do that.
Later in the day I noticed him turning the rye to encourage drying.
Wow — the rye really grew fast between cuttings! How interesting to watch it all!
That is what I was thinking. I didn’t know they cut rye twice – but apparently they do. 🙂
