This lunch at Fox Meadows Creamery was for Abby’s 2020 birthday – a few days earlier.
We arrived just before the doors opened at 11 am. There were about twenty people waiting with us to go inside. It seemed extra busy the entire time we were there.
Our meals (left to right) Cerwin, Nate, Abby, and me. The others had sandwich variations and French fries. It looks like Cerwin and Nate had sweet potato fries and Abby had regular fries. I had tomato soup and an Affogato – yum.
Nathaniel and Abby.
Grandma Zuck cared for their two little ones (Anthony and Jasmine) while we enjoyed lunch.

I needed an updated picture of them. I told Abby that the picture I posted for her birthday was two years old.
Love you two. Thanks for allowing us to honor you with a birthday meal.

Update on the busy day at Fox Meadows Creamery: Our grandson Ian works there (as does his sister, Jana). When I talked to Ian the next day, he said it was the busiest day they ever had – because of the migrating snow geese.

The snow geese and tundra swans are migrating and visiting Middle Creek – just over the mountain from the restaurant. The snow geese are a seasonal attraction here.
From the Internet – two days after we were at Fox Meadows: This past weekend, the snow geese numbers stayed consistently high and ranged between 90,000 and 125,000. The birds put on quite a show all weekend long and consistently were loafing on the lake, even during the day.
So far this year, tundra swans have hit a peak at 3,000 on February 7.
There are several thousand geese in our home area this week – close to our church – but they were too far from the road when I had my camera along. The geese go out to nearby fields to feed during the day, then return to Middle Creek for the night.
It looks like snow when there are thousands in the air.
