We have several families of bluebirds all summer long. This year I put out a heated bird bath and feed dried meal worms every day. So far they have been staying around, even in our cold, snowy New York winter. I sure do enjoy my blue birds.
One of these years I will have to try that. Ours seem to do better with berry suet – and it hasn’t been cold enough to need to a heated bird bath this year. I should probably have one for today as it is supposed to be cold.
Delightful!
I agree! 🙂
Such pretty little birds. I’ve only seen a few of them since we’ve lived here.
I have been seeing them in recent years – during winter – after learning that they like berry suet.
