Saturday Morning, February 1
Fox Creamery opened early (8:00 am) to celebrate “Ice Cream for Breakfast Day.” We decided to join the celebration as the beginning of my birthday week. Now that I am old, I try to do something special each day in the week leading up to my birthday. 🙂
Cerwin took this picture with his cell phone as people (including us) waited for the door to open at 8 am.
The line inside wrapped around through the store area. One of the owners was behind us. I told him, “You should be smiling.” He said, “This is the first time we tried it and didn’t know how it would work.” Shortly after that he was called to the kitchen to set up another waffle maker. 🙂
I think it worked!
This sign in the store was appropriate for the day. 🙂
We ordered the Cinnamon Bun Baked Fox. That means there is ice cream inside the Cinnamon Bun.
Oh, yum! The cinnamon bun is warm.
We sat at a table close to the end of the line – which kept getting longer and longer.
I needed a few groceries, meaning our next stop was Martin’s.
Our car was getting thirsty, consequently we stopped at Turkey Hill because the price was good at that location.
I had a birthday coupon for a free Primrose – so our stop at Martin’s and Turkey Hill helped delay our timing until Esbenshade’s opened at 9:00 am.
My pretty primrose.
Our next stop was Bomberger’s Store (Internet photo) where I had $10.00 to spend on something of my choice – birthday and year-end coupons.
I chose Keurig tea for me and suet for our birds. I spent a bit more than $10.00, but it was fun to have $10.00 deducted from my bill. 🙂
Our last stop of the morning was a craft show. I will tell you about that in the next post.
Happy, Happy Birthday, Doris. Thanks for your blog. Anne
Thanks.
