We arrived early and watched parents and fans arriving for our team (Manheim Central High School) and the other team (Spring Grove Area High School). As we visited with those around us, we learned that Spring Grove is a really good team.
A highlight for me was spending time with a high school classmate (Suzy) who was also here to watch a grandson wrestle. He is their oldest grandson and Jared is one of our youngest. (Only his brother Jesse is younger in our clan of sixteen grandchildren.)
I was surprised when my great niece (Dale and Dot’s granddaughter) Emma sat down in front of us. She is one of the cheerleaders.
We watched several matches before it was Jared’s turn. He is in the dark maroon outfit.
Jared is doing well this season and has sometimes pinned an opponent in less than fifteen seconds. This one took a bit longer.
Jared almost has him down.
…and it’s over with Jared pinning him in the first quarter. My pictures from beginning to end were one minute apart.
Our guys (Barons) lost, but our guy won! 🙂
The teams shaking hands. Jared is second from the left with his back to my camera.
Good job, Jared.
