We arrived at American Association for the Advancement of Science building at about 1:45 PM.
Deb’s friends who traveled to Washington DC with us: Ryan, Bernae, Katie, and Pop Pop.
The cover of the National Wildlife Federation brochure that listed information about the exhibit and the 47 photographers who gave permission to have their photos on display.
50 photos were chosen out of the 22,000 that were submitted. Three photographers did not give permission to have their photos on display.
Even though there were 47 photos on display – the first photo we went to see was Deb’s photo of an opossum. π
Cerwin observing the photo. It was a bit difficult to get a photo here because of the windows behind it.
Love that cute opossum face.
A person who helped choose the 50 winning photos said, as they eliminated photos, they kept putting this opossum photo with the winners because it helped them highlight the opossum as a valuable marsupial.
We are incredibly pleased and honored that her photo was chosen.
I have been to other photography exhibits, but don’t think I enjoyed any quite like this one.
I didn’t think about getting each photo’s description, so will show those first.
One of the display rooms. It was interesting to observe details in each photo.
More photos in my next entry.
What fun! I’m sorry I’m not closer to D.C. to go see them in person. Thanks for sharing the photos.
Glad you enjoyed them. There will be more. π
What an honor for Deb! I’m glad you were able to get to DC to see the display. π
Yes and yes! π
