Today the name “Doris” worked for me.

The Village Farm Market, Ephrata, gave out free subs to anyone named Keith or Doris. (Thanks to the Facebook friends who tagged me so I didn’t miss the notice.)

Yes, of course we went. When I was ordering my sub, the lady standing next to me was also named Doris.

The name on the sub meant “no charge” to the ladies at the checkout.
