The birds have not had to come to our feeders the past few months because of all the grain in the fields – plus some of them were living north of us – but now they are back.

The House Finches have been here all summer, but rarely needed to come to the feeders.

I think the one in the center is a female house sparrow.

The finches match the dogwood leaves this time of year.

The House Finches are almost as common here as the sparrows, but I enjoy each of their feather patterns.
