It was a beautiful day for a full schedule. First we drove to TFC Global’s International Office near Marietta, PA, for a meeting with President Ron Fraser. We enjoy having opportunity to meet with him and learn more about his heart for the ministry.
After leaving the office – about 11:30 am – we went to Oregon Dairy for lunch with Cerwin’s Sauder cousins. We sat across the table from John and Dianne and had fun catching up on their lives. We had seen them a few days earlier at the visitation prior to the funeral of John’s stepmother, Edith. However, we didn’t have much time to talk at that time.
It had been awhile since we visited Cerwin’s Uncle John Sauder, so we stopped at Landis Homes after lunch. He has moved to personal care since our last visit, so we had to look up his room. He will be 104 in December and is still doing quite well. He knew that we hadn’t visited in awhile. 🙂
I enjoyed seeing mules in the meadow when we drove by an Amish farm – on the way home from Landis Homes.
The peach and apple orchards are brilliant in color these days.
Love driving through Lititz in Fall
About this point I asked Cerwin if he wanted to stop by the lab at our doctor’s office and get our flu shots. He replied, “Seems like a good time to do that.”
After getting our flu shots, I said, “It feels good to have accomplished so many things today.” 🙂
