Sunday Evening, September 15

We arrived at Enck’s Banquet Center in Manheim about 5:15 pm. for our 5:30 pm supper.

The entrance area is beautifully decorated.

We had a great evening with many who were our teenage friends – in the late 50s and early 60s – the reason we are called “The Old Gang”.

The food was served buffet-style – on the right.

Following the delicious meal, a few people shared some interesting things that happened since last year and one shared a prayer request for a health issue.
We enjoyed visiting for an hour or so following the meal. We see some of these friends more frequently then others – for others, this is the only time we see them during the year.

We went home to a beautiful full moon. The lines through the center are electric wires.
How nice to be close enough to do this annually!
We talked about that – mentioning that many teenage friends can’t do this.
Even though I get back to Santa Barbara fairly frequently these days, I have only one friend that I see on occasion. Most of the rest live at least a couple of hundred miles away by now, and it’s rare that we are in town together!
