It is a bit sobering to see the obituary of a younger cousin.
When we arrived at the funeral home for his memorial service, it was obvious that he was a motorcycle fan. 🙂
Many of his cycle friends came to pay tribute to him.
Following the funeral meal, and enjoying time with other Hawthorne cousins at West Green Tree Church of the Brethren, I walked to the cemetery where some of my relatives are buried.
Tim’s parents, LeRoy and Anna Mae. LeRoy was my mother’s oldest brother.
Jan was the wife of Tim’s brother, David.
My uncle Lester and the place where his wife, Hazel, will be buried someday.
My Grandpa and Grandma Hawthorne.
Oh, the wonderful memories these names bring to my mind – and the days when we had Hawthorne gatherings with all the aunts and uncles and cousins.
So sorry to hear about your cousin! Yes — he definitely was a biker! That’s a beautiful cemetery.
He had cancer and COPD, LeRoy’s son David brought the beautiful statue of Jesus from Israel after his parents died.
