Friday, July 19
Due to the intense heat in our area – close to 100 degrees – our Sunday school class picnic was moved inside.
Everyone chose something (from a menu) to bring to the meal. The beef barbecue sandwiches or sloppy Joes were to the left of the picture.
As you can see, nobody went home hungry and we had a delicious meal.
A highlight of the evening was having our great-granddaughter there – because her daddy is one of our teachers. Each of Jade’s great-grandmothers is in the class – Carol, Sue (our granddaughter Jenna and great-granddaughter Jade), Lois, and me.
Three of Jade’s great-grandfathers is in the class – Cerwin, Jenna, Jade, Marv and Larry. Her great-grandpa Lindley is no longer living.
Jade’s dad (Dustan – right) arrived by the time we were ready to eat.
We enjoyed a great evening together.
Jade kept moving and convinced us that she will soon be walking without using something like a chair to keep her upright.
We were grateful for the air conditioning in the church fellowship hall rather that having an outside picnic.
How fun to have Jade join you! She does look just about to take of running!
I expect that she will be walking very soon.
