It is so easy to keep them these days since they basically take care of themselves.
Jesse was pleased when a package arrived for him the other day. It was his first new cell phone. He previously had a hand-me-down from his oldest brother, Josh. It amazes me that he was able to set it up by himself.
He loves playing games on his laptop, but every now and then I coax him outside to pull weeds for me – especially when Ian and Jared are mowing yards (for Ian’s business). The weeds (especially under my birdfeeders) are quite proliferous this summer since we seem to have rain every other day.
Ian used Grandpa’s lawnmower to mow our neighbor’s yard – one of his weekly jobs. He has his own mower, but it has to be transferred with a truck and trailer.
This is what our mancave looked like the other evening when everyone was relaxing. 🙂 This is the first real workout our mancave got since we updated it in February.
I missed getting a picture of Jared at work – because he was with Ian on their mowing circuit. Jared has taken up biking, so maybe I can capture a picture of him in his bike gear and new bike.

The boys are here because Jere and Kristen are in Prague for a business trip where Jere is participating in an ICAR meeting. The purpose of ICAR (in just a few words) is improving agriculture around the world.
They posted this picture last night when they were standing on the oldest bridge in Prague. Charles IV began building it in 1357 and completed it in 1402.
It must be fun to have the boys with you — they really are growing up quickly! And that’s a great shot of Jere and Kristen on the bridge — the milk business takes them to some wonderful places!
It is fun having them here. It’s nice that we still have a few young grandchildren. 🙂 The rest are all old enough to be independent when parents go on trips.
Don’t worry — you’ll soon be taking care of the great grandchildren!
We do get Anthony now and then – and he will have a sister in a few weeks. Jade has too many grandparents and aunts in the area. 🙂
