He was doing well when we visited this afternoon. He went to the ER the other evening after he felt like he was getting a flu and the leg that was damaged in the accident last September was swollen and red.
Yesterday he felt even worse and had a fever some of the day, but it seems that rest and medication caused a change in his condition today. The lab tests show that he has cellulitis and Lymphoedema (I think that is the “lymph” word the nurse used, because its description matches what she told us.) She said it is something he may have to deal with because of the extreme damage to his leg. It is a condition of localized fluid retention and tissue swelling caused by a compromised lymphatic system.
Keep him in your prayers.
Oh no! Prayers for Josiah.
Thank you!
prayiing = have friends that have that and its a real struggle that lasts. Hope God decides to heal.
Yes, we are learning that this will be an issue for a long time.
I hope that’s a temporary part of the healing process. Best wishes to Josiah for a speedy recovery!
Thank you.
