Sunday evening, March 31
The theme of her party was school – especially focusing on her studies at Lancaster Bible College.
Her birthday cake
Pretty roses were the centerpiece of the table.
The meal was buffet-style. Notice our trays. Jere and Kristen bought them from one of the Manheim Central Schools when old items were advertised for sale.
My tray
Pretty napkins
Jesse noticed that the candles had not yet been lit, so found a lighter to do the job.
The birthday party guests.
We enjoyed meeting Kristen’s brother Jeff and his wife Brenda. (right).

Singing Happy Birthday to Jana
It’s a good thing there weren’t 20 candles, as it took about 6 tries for her to get the second candle blown out. 🙂 Partly because she was not very close, and then was laughing so much.
My dish of cake, ice cream and fruit.
Birthday gifts
A neat way of giving a money gift – from her parents. Kristen bought the book at a second-hand store.
