Our first stop was at the TFC office for their morning prayer time at 9:00 am.
Back corner – left: Bunny O’Hare, Cerwin, Mike, Ruth, Joanna, Carol, Anneke, and Hans.
Bunny was in charge of devotions on this day. This was his Bible, glasses and notes.
Following prayer time we gave Hans and Anneke a tour of the office.
We were amused by this robin who was sitting outside a mail room window pecking at it’s reflection.
Did anyone notice the “hanging” R in the first two pictures? Cerwin took time to fix it before we left.
From Marietta, where the TFC office is located, we drove through Amish country and took them to Riehl’s Quilts & Crafts on a working farm near Leola. This is one of my favorite places to take visitors from outside our area. https://www.360lancaster.com/Shopping/QuiltingandFabric/RiehlsQuiltsandCrafts.html
I always like seeing their mules up close.
Two pictures from their website.
Anneke wearing a Lancaster County garden bonnet.
After shopping in the gift shop, we walked through the barn – which is open to visitors.
This appears to be a horse that pulls a carriage.
The dairy barn is to the left. You can watch them feeding and milking cows, but you cannot walk into that part of the barn. This is the cleanest barn I have ever seen.
More of our day in my next post.
We’ve been to Rhiel’s. Quite the place! Decided to go there after we printed their catalog at the place where I work.
Yes, I like that place too.
Love seeing the photos of the animals — but there’s something wonderful about the artistry of the quilters!
