Sunday, March 10 at the Balmer Pavilion
I was honored to be invited to Steph’s bridal shower – as I am a great aunt. However, we Hershey great aunts do have a special connection, because they will be living on the Hershey Homestead. We are having fun watching them update the old, sandstone part of the house – which is 200 years old this year.
Our group arriving at the pavilion.
A banner and pin ready for the bride-to-be.
For those who don’t understand the meaning of #dullinlove. Dull is Travis’ last name.
I understand that these plants will be going to their new house – after remodeling is complete. Steph told me they plan to have the house finished by the end of April. Their wedding is in May.
Everyone brought a completed recipe card.
Last minute touches by three of her attendants.
There were pretty flowers in various places.
Steph’s mom (right) setting up the snack table. I do not know her helpers.
I can verify that this was delicious.
I didn’t get very close to the number of kisses inside the jar. 🙂 I think I was off by 30.
Steph’s Grandma Balmer trying to guess the correct age on some of Stephanie’s photos. I was off by one year on every picture.
Our “Hershey family clan”. L to R: Chelsey (Travis’ aunt)), Jamie (Travis’ cousin), Melissa (Travis’ aunt), Brenda and Dot (Travis’ great aunts), Amy (Travis’ aunt), Nancy (Travis’ grandma).
More arrivals
The gift table was full and overflowing.
The arrival of the bride-to-be. By this point she knew something was happening because her eight attendants went to the house and brought her here.
Travis and Steph on the left.
Steph thanked everyone for coming.
Steph’s bridal attendants were invited to go through the food line first. Ashlea (blue dress) is Travis’ sister.
Steph’s mom served the peach punch. The young woman on the right is Steph’s sister.
Steph’s eight attendants – and Travis.
Introductions. Obviously the person being introduced was in the back of the room.
Introducing a game where we had to answer questions with the word we thought Steph would use.
Steph writing her answers.
I didn’t do well in matching my answers to hers.
Cutting the cake
Half the cake was white…
…the other half was chocolate.
Time to open gifts
One of her attendants made a bow bouquet for Stephanie.
Getting pictures of the nine girls. Travis’ mom, Karen, is on the left.
The pretty-girls-part of the wedding party. The only girls I know are the bride and Travis’s sister, Ashlea, back row 2nd from left.
