Friday Morning, February 8
Getting a pedicure and manicure on or close to my birthday has become a yearly tradition. I think I went alone for a few years, but soon decided that it would be more fun to have company.
This is just a few of the fabulous stuff that was put into the water and massaged into our legs and feet.
This year I chose an orange jel-like substance for my feet.
Some chose an herb solution to be rubbed into their feet and legs.
Jade was introduced to all that happens when girls get a mani/pedi.
The arrival of Lydia – and if you look in the distance you can see other ladies getting manicures.
We were offered tea or water – most of us chose tea.
With the arrival of Kristen, all eight of us (plus Jade) were present. She chose to do her manicure first and keep Jenna company in the other room.
The staff at L.A. Nails near Kissel Hill (Lititz) did a great job.
Jade was fascinated with everything and all the movement that was being done to our feet and legs.
Ahhh! Hot rocks
Jenna (standing) was finished with her manicure.
A favorite – having our feet in paraffin
Add to that very warm towels on our legs
Someone is getting a bright color on her toes.
French tips is more my style
Kristen is finished with her manicure and ready for a pedicure.
The whole group: Kristen Jenna, Deb, Diane, Abby, Jade, Chris, and Lydia. Each of the ladies in our family was invited, but a few had to work, some were in Maine, and others had school.
Abby. As we finished with pedicures, we moved to the other room for manicures.
Chris and Deb. Deb was surprised to discover that her old manicurist/pedicurist now worked at this location. I’m sorry that I didn’t think to get Tony in this picture – working on her nails.
Deb took a picture of the oldest and youngest girl in the family before Jenna and Jade headed for home. Jenna still had things to do before they and Dustan’s family left for a winter vacation in northern Maine.
The rest of us went to a nearby restaurant for lunch. I will tell you about that tomorrow.
What fun to do it all together!
Fun is a great word for that day.
A team going to the pedicure . It is new !
