Does God Want Me to be Happy? by Dustin Martin

We listened to the sermon while traveling in our RAV4. It sounded like Dustin had several paintings on the pulpit to demonstrate his sermon.

He asked the congregation. Raise your hand if you don’t want to be happy. Just what I expected, No hands.

Raise your hand if you want to be happy? That is unanimous – It looks like everyone raised their hand.

What kind of happiness are you looking for – the original or a fake? For real happiness you must know the Truth and know that God’s truth is everlasting.

God’s love is agape love – unmeasurable – intimate – a fellowship of the deepest level. God wants us to be “one” with Him. However, the enemy wants to replace Truth with a fake love.

In today’s world God’s truth keeps getting redefined with fake happiness, fake intimacy, and vague spirituality.

God’s desire is for us to be restored with Him where true happiness happens and is felt.

He doesn’t want us following and longing for a counterfeit love and happiness.

An intimate relationship with God is when true happiness happens.
