Sunday, January 13
We came home from church to see a large group of doves in one of our trees.
Before long they were arguing on the ground.
Then some came to the window feeder.
It didn’t take them long to get in fights over the birdseed.
This one was overseeing the fights.
Then there was only one in the feeder – enjoying the peace.
As soon as a second one arrived they began arguing.
This one went to the next feeder where only one could fit inside.
What fun to watch them.
They’re a lot like small children!
I’m not sure what their problem was that day.
So much for doves being a peace symbol. At my feeder the most unruly are the sparrows.
Maybe they were just hungry, but a few of them seemed to be in bad moods – or something.
